Scottish Design Award Winners

Three Thomson Gray projects have won awards at the 2023 Scottish Design Awards.

The Broadford Hospital in Skye won gold and the Linear Accelerator Treatment Centre, Edinburgh, won silver at the recent Scottish Design Awards in the health building or project category. The new Broadford Hospital is the first health facility built in the community for over 55 years.

The facility has transformed healthcare in this rural community and offers world class healthcare closer to home
NHS Highland

The Greyfriars Charteris Centre in Edinburgh was awarded the gold award in the retrofit category. 

Formerly a church, the building has been repurposed so that it could continue to play a role as a centre for the community.

Inside the newly refurbished Greyfriars Charteris Centre in Edinburgh. Original features and details have been conserved and repaired an new, contemporary additions have been made - shown is a new timber staircase connecting the upper space in the old church with a lower, flexible and modernised space. Timber is extensively used throughout and the photograph shows both levels of the building.
