Thomson Gray are delighted to have been appointed by Health Facilities Scotland, following competitive tender, to carry out Phases 11 to 13 of the physical condition surveys of NHS hospitals, health centres, and other properties throughout Scotland over the next 3 years. The areas covered in the current phase (Phase 11) include:

  • NHS Ayrshire & Arran
  • NHS Borders
  • NHS Dumfries & Galloway
  • NHS Fife
  • NHS Forth Valley
  • NHS Grampian
  • NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde
  • NHS Lothian
  • NHS Shetland
  • NHS Tayside
  • NHS Western Isles

In addition, the surveys cover some of the National Boards such as:

  • Scottish Ambulance Service
  • NHS 24
  • NHS Education for Scotland
  • National Waiting Times Centre (Golden Jubilee Hospital), Clydebank

These surveys incorporate building fabric and M&E engineering services, and inform the Estate Asset Management System (EAMS) which is used by NHS Boards to determine priorities for repairs and reprovision, as well as providing life cycle information. This latest phase also includes reviews of the complex Statutory issues facing the premises, as well as an option to assess space utilisation, functional suitability and quality issues.
