Throughout 2018, Thomson Gray have been delivering both Project Management and Quantity Surveying services for the new £500 million community development at Stratton, to the East of Inverness. The community, which will provide 1,500 new homes has reached a significant milestone with the opening of the upgraded and duelled through road. The works also included a signalled junction and a large SUDs basin ensuring futureproofed traffic management through sufficient drainage capabilities. Inverness Provost Helen Carmichael officially opened the road known as ‘Barn Church Road’ on 24 October 2018.

Construction work is progressing on site with public traffic now being diverted on to the new carriageway with no disruption to existing traffic flows. This phase of the infrastructure works has been delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.

The next phase of the works has commenced with the construction of ‘School Road’ and with a new public park also planned. Upon completion, Stratton will include a new town centre with shops, office space, leisure and community facilities.
