Thomson Gray announces summer promotions across the business

Thomson Gray is pleased to celebrate the hard work, commitment and continued development of colleagues across the business with a series of summer promotions.

Following a strong start to 2026, the promotions recognise the valuable contributions made by team members across building surveying, project management and quantity surveying, as well as the important role they continue to play in supporting clients and the wider business.

Lewis Thompson has been promoted to director of Building Surveying in recognition of his contribution to the business and the department’s ongoing growth. Lewis has played an important role in leading projects for clients across a range of sectors, demonstrating the technical knowledge, professionalism and leadership skills that support the consultancy’s continued success.

Commenting on Lewis’s promotion, Ged Gowans, Director of Building Surveying, said: “Lewis has been an integral part of the evolution of the Building Surveying team. He has made a significant contribution to developing client relationships and supporting the wider business.

“His technical knowledge, commitment to delivering a high-quality service and ability to build strong relationships have helped drive the continued growth of our team.”

Rebekah Garrett has been promoted to Senior Associate in the project management team, reflecting her continued contribution to the team and the delivery of successful client projects.

Further promotions have also been announced across the business, highlighting the breadth of talent developing within Thomson Gray. Chris Raeburn has been promoted to Senior Project Manager and Sean McCann has progressed to Project Manager since graduating this summer. Abbie Douglas and Laiba Khan have both been promoted to Quantity Surveyor and Euan Dunse and Kathryn Shott are now Graduate Quantity Surveyors after completing their degrees and traineeships. Ross Williamson has been promoted to Graduate Building Surveyor since completing a four-year honours degree.
